The group sought to create a distinctly Latin American art with strong social and human themes.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThroughout his career, Sánchez evolved from the powerful social realism of his Espartaco years toward an increasingly personal language of simplified forms, strong contours and expressive human figures.
